Sport

Sport is a universal language, building more bridges between people than anything else I can think of.

Sport has been a part of my life for as long as I remember.  It remains an important part of my day as it does for all my children.

I believe that sport matters greatly to both individuals and to society and I believe that strong and regular sports habits in adults have to be embedded from an early age which means that access to engaging sport at school should be a priority for every Government. Positive school sports programs are the fundamental foundation of a healthy sports clubs network.

Most successful sportswomen and men I know began their love of sport in school, then through local and national clubs and into a structured, funded elite pathway accessing first class coaching to events and Championships funded by national, regional and international sporting federations. I hope you enjoy the stories, insights and wisdom of the athletes that have generously given me their time through my Extraordinary Tales Podcast:
